Roving Acres

Just about set up for the Roving Acres Farm Fleece Sale tomorrow. We decided to keep it indoors so we can take advantage of the air conditioning!

We have raw Jacob and CVM/Romeldale fleece, and raw Alpaca fleece. We also have natural felt, Mohair Blend Roving, Jacob Roving, and Mohair Blend Batts.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that we have washable Jacob pelts available. I haven’t brought them out yet, so I forgot to include them in this post. They will be available tomorrow!

It’s finally scheduled! We’re having a Fleece Sale in Cleveland Heights!

When: June 28, 2025
10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Where: 3367 Dellwood Road
Cleveland Heights, Ohio

It will be held outside in our garage and with tents, so it will be rain or shine. All forms of payment accepted.

The focus will be on raw fleece (Jacob, CVM/Romeldale, Mohair, and Alpaca), but I will also have roving and batts. I may have other items depending on space. Great fiber at great prices!

Etsy has permanently suspended our account (☹️) and we will not be vending at shows, so this is your best chance for buying from us. Hope to see you there!

96 hours after our first set of ewe lambs we wrapped things up with another set of ewe lambs. Everyone is full and dry and happy, just what every farmer loves to see! I’ll get individual pictures of everyone once I have recovered 😴

After a year off Roving Pennyroyal started us off with twin ewe lambs! We’ve got 9 more ewes due in the next week so brace yourself for baby pictures.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Wool Gathering and stopped by to say hello! It was an amazing weekend, and I appreciate all of your support. It was bittersweet since it will be our last show, and I will always cherish the memories I have made with all of you, my fiber friends! My plan going forward is to list as much as I can on Etsy, and I plan to have a fleece sale at my home in Cleveland Heights sometime in very early spring. I look forward to going to some fiber shows and not being a vendor. I usually vend by myself, so I never get to walk around and shop. I’m a fiber addict, so you haven’t seen the last of me, lol! Anyway, thanks again for making my fiber adventure so fun and enjoyable! Much love to you all. ❤️

Check out our sale yarn! It already was a bargain at half off, but now I’m offering a BOGO on sales of yarn in this display! You’ll be charged for the higher priced skein, and you get a skein of yarn that’s the same or lower price for free! These yarns are Superwash sock, Superwash mohair blend, and mohair blend yarns. We’re all set up and ready for the Great Lakes Fiber Show to begin! We’re in building 13, booths 31 & 32. We’ll be here until 5:00 today, and 10 to 4:00 tomorrow. Stop in and say hello!

Are you planning where your first stop will be at the Great Lakes Fiber Show this weekend?

May 25th and 26th at Wayne County Fairground in Wooster, OH.
There are no entry or parking fees.

The Wool Show judging will be taking place Friday Night May 24th at 6pm. Make sure to download your entry form and get your fleeces dropped off for show or sale.

The Skein and Garment competitions are Saturday with new Junior divisions for those under 16 in both shows. You can download your entry form and rules on our website.

There will be a new dedicated area for folks to gather and craft. Bring your project and come meet some like minded new friends.

We will have fiber arts demos throughout the weekend. Come learn about different fiber arts.

We have over 100 vendors selling all types of fiber art related items, tools, supplies and more.

New this year, we will have the Farm to Fiber section where you can meet fiber animals and fiber farmers and purchase fiber animals and their products.

Always popular, the herding dog demonstration will be back this year, both Saturday and Sunday.

Also at the Fairgrounds this weekend will be an Angora Rabbit
show.
