The 2026 Ashtabula County Fair was a success! 🏆

There were so many placings for my girls that I honestly didn’t write them down or keep track. Usually with bigger shows like this where I bring more than 3/4 of my herd I just post about my bigger placings 🤣

The 2 biggest placings from yesterday’s show are definitely my most exciting ones… and they’re both does that are in my herd name!

HUBBARD FARMS DOVE (GE2371087) earned GRAND CHAMPION and BEST OF BREED Recorded Grade Senior doe. This is her second time being shown as a milker and second time winning GCH. Sadly there weren’t enough entries so she didn’t earn a leg this time BUT this gives me high hopes that I can finish her on her next freshening!

AND

HUBBARD FARMS PIGEON (GE2481542) won GRAND CHAMPION Recorded Grade Junior doe. Pigeon is Dove’s daughter! This was Pigeon’s first ever time in the show ring… and the best part was that there were enough entries to make this win official... so we have a restricted leg! 😭🩵

Here’s a photo of Pigeon for you all to enjoy. She definitely doesn’t look like a pigeon, but she’s a copy and paste of her dam, that’s for sure 🥹

Leave it to me to put all the goats outside today when it’s supposed to rain overnight/tomorrow ⛈️🤣

Guess I have moving around to do when I get off work tonight 😅

I shaved all of my older goats today (1 year and older) for our upcoming heat wave and I apparently saved the most exciting for last. As soon as I took all of her hair off I KNEW I had to get a picture of her before I milked her out!

TEMPTING WILLOWS FREYA (PD2268684) kidded just a few days ago, as you all know, and she bounced right back without a hitch and she is BEAUTIFUL!

I think it’s taken her 4 years to really mature. I don’t think I’ve ever been this smitten with her. She’s just.. wow! 😍

A few days late on posting this but uh… oh well. Life has gotten away from me. Oops! 🤣

TEMPTING WILLOWS FREYA (PD2268684) finally blessed us with TWINS on Wednesday (6/24/26). A buck and a doe! 😍

These 2 are sired by CADE’S LIL FARM SW C’EST LA V (PD2424072).

This FINALLY concludes my kidding season with 18 kids total; 7 bucks, 11 does!

HEAVEN’S HOLLOW SMOKEY BEAR (PD2455212) wishes all of the dads a wonderful Father’s Day!

This is his first ever Father’s Day and he seems pretty proud of himself. He’s sired a few kids for me but was used heavily in other herds this fall.

He has matured so much and… wow 😍

This photo has MINOR touch ups but yes, he really does look that good!

I can’t wait to see his daughters freshen! 🩵

What a beautiful day to do some outside milking and to let all of the girls enjoy the sunshine while the humans go enjoy a baseball game! ⚾️☀️

You’d never think the doe on the milking stand would be roughly a week away from being 11 YEARS OLD!

FLAT LAND FARM PRINCESS ZELDA (AT1787036) was the girl who started my whole herd. She got a hair cut a few days ago and truly doesn’t look a day over 5 or 6!

She does get hunchy on the stand and with the inflations on as I’m too lazy to hand milk 98% of the time, but I’m so grateful that she has stood the test of time and she is showing NO SIGNS of slowing down anytime soon. She’s still her old, cranky self 🤣🩵

CADE’S LIL FARM SW C’EST LA V (PD2424072) has straws up for grabs still with Blue Mountain Genetics for 5/$75 for their National Show Sale!

V gave me some BEAUTIFUL kids this spring! They’ve all been incredibly long and wide throughout and have the personality of a dumb and very sweet gelding (my favorite! 🤣)

I have one more doe due in the next few weeks from him.

V is N/N for CM and A/B for Alpha-s1 Casein if that’s the thing you’re into.

🏆 2026 WRDGA was a success! 🏆

Caught up with some friends and got some goats in the ring! I brought a handful of Nigerians and only ONE recorded grade doe.

Lo and behold, on day 2 of the show…

HUBBARD FARMS DOVE (GE2371087) won GRAND CHAMPION and earned her first leg towards her permanent championship under Bob Bartholomew!

I actually think this might be my first ever rosette with a HOMEBRED DOE that is in MILK so… some tears were definitely shed 🤣😭

Congrats to everyone who placed this weekend! I loved seeing all of those beautiful goats across all different breeds!
