Hello folks! Just putting this out there. We have the Tamale connection, if anybody is trying to get Tamales for Christmas or New Year's Eve, please IM or text 916-300-8309. There will be pork, chicken and beef.

Order by the Dozen only. Order by December 14th for pickup on the 21st and order by December 21st to have pick up on December 28th.

Pork and Chicken $30 per dozen
Beef $35 per dozen
Must be paid for at time of order.

Pickups can be arranged for Wheeler Mountain or down in the valley.

Quick Winter dog house tips:

❄️ turn the house facing away from the direction the wind is blowing (almost always turned south in winter)
❄️ no blankets, towels, dog beds- they collect moisture and will stay damp making your dog colder (like when you go camping and your tent is damp in the morning)
❄️ hay’s for horses, straw’s for paws- straw is a much better insulator than hay and doesn’t sour and smell awful
❄️ when you stuff the dog house, put more in than you think they need- dogs are denning creatures, they will burrow and bed down in it where they are warm on all sides
❄️ pitbulls and pit mixes (short, thin coated dogs) are not made to withstand freezing temperatures outdoors. They usually have a low body fat percentage, thin coat and bare bellies.
❄️ puppies are not cut out for the cold either- young puppies cannot regulate their body temperature the way adult dogs can
❄️ if somebody told you, “dogs are made for weather like this”- they are jerks and they lied. Just because an animal can survive it does not mean they should have to!

Hello Folks, I just wanted to let everybody know that Dad passed on Thursday. He's out of pain and in a much better place now. Thank you for all your love, support and prayers for him. He went in peace. He loved it here and enjoyed meeting all the wonderful people here in Pikeville. I won't be having a service at this time. Maybe a memorial service in spring. He would've been 73 next week. Sorry for such a delayed posting, I've not been emotionally able to do this.

Happy New Year to all. Praying 2024 is better for us.
