Mobile Coop 🐓

Today we added another mobile coop to the fleet. We would like your opinion as to what to do with it (more laying hens or meat birds). It’s obviously setup for layers but it could also be used for pastured meat birds.

If you’re interested in owning your own mobile coop like this please reach out. The 8x12 with no nest box is $1600 (add $350 for roll out nest box). The 6x8 version with no nest box is $1450 (add $300 for roll out nest box). Delivery and taxes (unless you are tax exempt) are not included.

Delivery within 30 miles of Dunlap, TN
8x12 - $200 (can only haul 1 at a time)
6x8 - $150 (we can haul 2 of these at one time and we will discount the 2nd if hauling 2)

Spawn Run 🍄‍🟫

We inoculated these logs with mushroom spawn from late December through the first week of March. The white patches on the ends of the logs is a great sign. It means that the mushroom mycelium has spread from the inoculation points throughout the log. Once the log is fully colonized it will begin to fruit.

We brought home 8 new baby pigs today (Yorkshire, Hampshire, Duroc cross). It will take approximately 5 months on pasture and feed to get them where they need to be for processing. We are willing to do 3 of them as whole or halves at $4.25 per lb hanging weight. Our last five pigs hung at 215 - 240 lbs for example. This price will include processing. Message us to reserve.

We are also accepting and fulfilling orders for $100 pork meat bags with the following contents. We can deliver to your porch or your welcome to pickup at our location (5661 Hendon Rd Graysville, TN). Message us to get on next weeks delivery schedule and let us know if you have any questions.

We have logged 4.5” of rain since it started a few days ago. We’re expecting a big flush of log grown shiitake mushrooms once things start to dry out. CSA members will receive them in their bag and if anyone would like extra we will sell them for $12 per lb. Comment or send us a PM if you want to reserve extras.
