Hello everyone. Update on Tux II...it's not great. Her temp is still low even on heat since last night. She's resting comfortably right now with some food in her belly and fluids. She's having a few more issues today. She and Seraphina are going to the doc in the morning.

I'm afraid I may have a difficult decision to make.

Please send prayers for both of them.

Hi all. Just a quick update. Tux II is having a couple more issues tonight. Her temp was down but she's back on heat now. She's a little weaker holding her head up but moved her back legs. She had meds and some dinner with fluids and is resting now. I know anything can happen at any time. Hoping for her to rest well tonight.

Seraphina is much more animated and eating well. Getting her eye drops and meds.

Both go back to the doc Thursday.

Hi,

It's me, Tux II. I'm still trying. This is mom taking me for a walk in the sun. Please excuse the food on me cuz I just ate and Mom didn't give me a bath yet. I've never had anyone touch me in all my 17 years until my problem happened. I like getting pets and scratches now. Mom says I may have had something called a stroke or maybe a brain tumor. My diabetes went away and my bloodwork was good but now my legs don't want to work much. Mom is massaging and stretching them. She's giving me fluids and syringe feeding me. I haven't really lost much weight.

I got all the meds to help me but nothing did so I'm doing something called hospice. Mom is a little more worried about me tonight because I'm a little weaker. I'm resting in my heated bed right now.

Mom's been very busy and tired. She wanted me to tell you that my friend Seraphina is ok, but her eye had a small rupture and that was her emergency. She is getting meds and lots of eye drops every day. I will keep trying but please say a prayer for me. I will go back to my doc later this week. Thank you for caring about me. ❤️❤️❤️ Tux II

Hello all.

Thank you for your condolences after the loss of Binky. It's extra hard when it's so unexpected and sudden.

I am still far behind on posting some happy things...but continue to be exhausted with my new schedule with 150ish students instead of the usual 90ish.

Just a quick update on Tux II. She remains the same, though last night she moved her tail and if I rub her paw pads, she can stretch her toes out. She can hold her head up and is alert, but all 4 legs remain stiff and unable to be used. Her temp is normal tonight, though she is on heat support. She's getting fluids and I'm syringe feeding her a/d. The bad tooth is causing her to grind her teeth now when she eats.

She's pretty much hospice care now as the only other choice is a neuro consult but with her age and present condition, the doc is pretty sure there's no coming back from this after the most recent meds have had no effect.

She's comfortable right now and I'm taking her to the doc in the morning for a recheck and to see if that tooth is loose enough to just come out.

I don't want her to start having seizures as progressive brain tumors usually cause. Hoping to spend time with her in the sunshine this weekend.

Binky 2022-08/21/2026 Binky loved her mom Mia so much. When Mia had to cross the Rainbow Bridge, Binky cried for a long time. She was a sweet girl who loved to eat but wasn't much for being held. Mia, Binky and her 3 brothers were rescued just before their planned euthanasia. Binky is survived by her brothers Elijah, Isaiah and James. The doc confirmed it was heart failure. 💔 Thank you for caring. ❤️

Please pray for Tux II. It looks like the Hail Mary is having no effect. She had a steroid shot and also on doxy for anything else other than a brain tumor. She's alert and just finished the syringe feeding and fluids. She's resting on heat but still has no use of legs tonight. Some of it comes and goes with more flexibility. She sat in my lap for awhile and began purring, enjoying scratches. It's so frustrating. Everyone else is ok. We are still in urgent need of cat chow and canned food. Another late night.

Hello all. Binky had congestive heart failure. :( No symptoms until today.

It's almost 1 in the morning and I just finished chores. I was just about to start at 9pm when I went to go transport 4 baby squirrels in their nest. Their tree was cut down today and the tree company owner called me for help. He had done work here and I had told him if he finds any wildlife who need help, to let me know. I did another 40 minute round trip and thankfully another transporter met me halfway to the rehabber or it would have been longer. They are safe and warm now but I'm sad they lost their home and know their mom is looking for them and her nest. Trees should not be cut down until late fall. The ones I had cut here were checked for nests beforehand. I again can't make a new paragraph, so thank you for caring and I could use any help possible with cat chow, friskies, fancy feast and Binky's cremation. 💔
