I woke up to seeing the post of Chloe the Serval's passing. I so much enjoyed watching her through the years. She was so well cared for and loved.

Late this afternoon, I took Octavius, the rooster, for an appointment as he was having some issues. His crop wasn't filling up, though he was eating. He was losing muscle mass too and was having problems with a leg.

The doc said he was having nerve issues in his leg and that though he was eating, it was all just passing through. She felt it was likely cancer. She said there was no treatment and recommended euthanasia.

Octavius crossed the Rainbow Bridge ar about 515pm. He was at least 8 years old. 💔💔💔

Hi everyone. We had a lot of rain, some very powerful downpours with wind, but everything is ok.

Cheeta is feeling better and started eating on her own this morning.

Tomorrow, Octavius the rooster goes to the doc for a recheck. He's stable but lost weight and he's very old.

Trying for an early night.

Hi. We are getting heavy rain right now from the hurricane. It was light all day but increased the last few hours. Tonight and tomorrow are supposed to be the worst.

Everyone's ok. Bucky the sheep is requiring more meds and food. He's very old and I'm hoping we can get him through this episode.

Cheeto is almost healed up from his dental abscess but needs dental surgery ASAP. The antibiotics upset his GI tract so now he's on meds for that.

Oliver is eating well and on meds.

Cheeta had to go to the doc Friday. She's come down with an URI. She's on meds, alert but not eating right now. She took syringe feeding well tonight.

Everyone else is stable.

Thinking about all those affected by the hurricane. Western NC is getting a lot of rain, parts still recovering from Helene.

Hi everyone. It's been nonstop here and exhausting. I'm again sorry for no updates since losing Manatee. I have to go pick her cremains up at the crematory. They were so nice to go out of their way to pick her up farther away than normal.

This week it's now Bucky, one of the wethers, having age related issues. He's 17 years old. Has 3 teeth left. Started meds Monday and some supplements. My sheep carrier is still at the vet, which is an hour away, so I couldn't transport him. Right now he's eating. Most of my sheep are in their teens and I'm afraid this is going to be happening more frequently, especially with winter coming on.

My kitty Oliver, 13, (Olivia's brother), had to go in Tuesday for geriatric bloodwork. He has lost weight and is now on meds.

Tomorrow morning, I have to drop off my girl Cheeta for an exam and she will likely need meds.

I still have the other stories to post but they will again need to wait until life slows down a little.

We are still urgently in need of cat chow, friskies and fancy feast.

Hi everyone. They say it comes in threes, right?

First, Muffin Man is doing ok.

Manatee's bloodwork was perfect. She received meds and vitamins. She was weak and remained so. This is the last photo of her standing. She remained at the hospital getting treatment but without a diagnosis.

The vet texted this morning and said she didn't want to eat yesterday. She just rested and was quiet with her head down. At 2am this morning, she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She said she thinks her age played a part and it may have just been her time. 💔

She was 15 years old, a granddaughter of my original Lambchop.

All of my sheep but 4 are in their teens.

Thankfully, the crematory was able to pick her up today.

Hello friends. I dropped Muffin Man off at the doc this morning.

Last night, one of my ewes, Manatee, was not herself.

This afternoon, I had to leave work early rush to get Muffin Man, then home and get Manatee loaded up to drive an hour to our large animal doc. She's there in hospital tonight. She's weak but we don't have an answer yet on why. She's 15 years old. Sheep's lifespan is 8 to 10 yrs normally but most here are in their teens.

Please send some warm thoughts for both of them.

Hello all. Muffin Man has been having some breathing issues and has been getting his inhaler for asthma. He is stable right now. He's also been vomiting food, which he's never done before, so he's going to the doc in the morning. Sunkist will have to wait again until Friday.

Muffin Man's right eye always is red as in photo. It gets better with his occasional steroid shots, but then it comes back. Doc said not much to do.

It was a beautiful weather weekend.

We are in urgent need of food. We haven't had any donations in many months and are going through so much.

Hello all. I've been off here since Michael died a week ago today.

Muffin Man started having his asthma issues last night and he's been getting inhaler treatments since. He's "ok" right now. Resting. He ate but has had some vomiting, which is not normal...food...so I took away most of his food and he's had no vomiting since. Going to vet Monday with Sunkist.

I'll try to post more tomorrow.

We urgently need cat chow, friskies, fancy feast and sheba pate.

A beautiful sunset tonight on a very heartbreaking day. I will be silent for a bit. Michael has joined his mama, Luna, his brother, Alexander and his sister Aardvark, across the Rainbow Bridge. This was unexpected when he came home Thursday from the hospital. 💔💔💔

I'm really upset. Please say prayers for Michael. He has taken a downturn since coming home from the hospital Thursday with renal issues. He is not doing too well right now. He was not at end stage but now he's lethargic. He was eating and doing ok after 3 days on IV fluids. Totally different tonight. 💔 He was supposed to come home and just be managed like a renal disease kitty.
