I'm sorry it's been crickets lately. I get so busy raising kids and livestock that I forget I need to sell them to keep going. The livestock, not the kids...most days. 😆

Ethan will be home tomorrow and we will be getting pictures of the older lambs to share.

We have some good sheep in the barn that you will want to see. We also have January lambs that are not weaned. It seems everyone wants to buy earlier every year. Our January borns will make county fair. And you won't have to feed them an extra two months.

I'm big on quality over quantity. Mostly because I'm tired. But kids like this get me excited for the show season.

We have a great set of lambs that will be available as well. Stay tuned for pictures of them in the next month.

We had a small group go and I'm now waiting for the next run.

This Macho ram lamb is out of the grandma to the 2 Cease Fire ewes we ran the last couple years. He could make some showman very happy. Or maybe he will end up in our ram pen...

I am pretty excited about our first set of goats and am anxious to see the rest.

Only one jug remaining. We had a small run of AI ewes go and Im enjoying a few nights without night checks.

We also had our first set of goats out of the new billy. And to say I'm excited to see the rest is an understatement! Stay tuned.

Ultrasound day is always a favorite of mine. I am not quite ready for night checks but I am excited to see the quality of lambs that we will get this year. We will have having matings to Alpha Kng, Ceasefire, Lou, Under the Radar, Blindside, Macho, and of course live covered by our old man Bad Monkey.

We will also have a variety of weight divisions in goats to pick from. And throwing it back to selling a few 4H pigs. Only one litter but based on her previous litter, we will have some quality and affordable fair pigs. Oofta. Writing this makes me tired. Haha. It will be so worth it!

Time has been good to her. We tried her Mom back to Cease Fire in hopes of getting a ram. Ultrasound day is coming up soon and we will be lambing before we know it. Excited to see the lamb crop and get them into good hands.

You can give all of the advice in the world but if it falls on deaf ears, no progress is made. These young ladies and their families worked so hard and I'm incredibly proud of them.

Ready for show season! Who is your favorite ram right now? I have a few favorites. This little ewe is out of Cease Fire and a full sib to the NE State Fair Champion 4H Breeding Ewe in 2024.
