Our mission is to produce a high quality, beef cattle for our friends and surrounding communities, while instilling good wholesome family values in our furture generations. Belgian Blue Cattle are also known as Race de la Moyenne et Haute Belgique, Belgian Blue-White, Belgian White and Blue Pied, Belgian White Blue, Blue, Blue Belgian. The breed of cattle originated in Belgium and they, at one tim
e, accounted for nearly half of the cattle in the national herd. Like most cattle Breeds the Belgian Blue was originally a dual - purpose animal producing both milk and meat. The Belgian Blue Breed of beef cattle is fairly new to the United States but is rapidly gaining acceptance with beef breeders and dairymen. The breed is perfectly suited to a great diversity of soils and climates encountered in its international expansion. Belgian Blue cattle today are the result of selective genetic breeding that was conducted in Belgium by Professor Hanset at the AI Center in the Province of Lieg. In the late fifties, there was a debate among the breeders, the question being to maintain the dual-purpose for the breed or to select for more muscling. There were three famous AI sires to be cited: Gedeon and two of his grandsons Ganache and Vaiseur.
