another state fair has come and gone, we are very excited with the outcome especially when it came to showing lambs with Hahn ear tags!!

sydney and wendy
-5th in a hard class of wether dams especially weighing in at the lightest
-syd had a great time at her first state fair but was missing her lamb evie when it came to showmanship!

-3rd in lightweight class
-7th overall lightweight
-1st alternate for purple ribbon auction
-5th overall advanced showman

Now that we can finally say we are over half way down with lambing here are some of the baby’s so far

Currently we have 18 on the ground (which is a new record for us)with the girls over powering the boys

Moms been busy taking care of not one but two bottle babies that are basically dogs to her now, Dads been busy watching the barn cameras from wherever he is and coming home at all different hours to help with lambing, Sydney’s been on the move helping with whatever needs to get done, and Lauren’s been the designated lamb puller. Only a couple nights that have lasted into the next morning!

10 mommas down, 5 too go. We love seeing all the little orange ear tags running around!

Been awhile since we posted on here but it’s time for an update! The last 3 weekends have been spent at shows and the results are getting better each time!

Cannon Valley 4-H and Open Show
-champion ewe lamb
-champion yearling ewe
-champion senior showman
-champion ram
-champion market lamb

Cannon Valley Jackpot
-both lambs ended up being in the same class and the market lamb got 1st and the ewe lamb followed him with 2nd in the class!

UMN Block + Bridle
-1st in class for both show a and show b with the ewe lamb
-2nd in a hard class of lightweights for the market lamb

Dakota County Jackpot
-2nd in class with the ewe lamb

It was decent out today so we got some of our favorite lambs we have around the barn for a quick photo session!!

The first two pictures are of our favorite brat Bethany, she really owns the name well!! She was a ewe lamb that we leased last summer for one last quick show and she placed very well so then of course we had to purchase her from Sandy Hill Acres. We are loving all that s**g she has!! We can’t wait to get her in the ring a few more times this upcoming show season. We are also very excited to get her bred and see what she can throw!

The last couple pics are of our buck King Kong that we purchased from Fox Club Lambs back in 2021. He has yet to disappoint us!

We are already throwing around different ideas for this summers breeding season and picking lambs for the coming show season.
