In the late 1800s, Polish immigrant Joseph Morgiewicz, settled in the Florida, NY area. By the early 1900s he began draining the swampland, now know as the fertile “Black Dirt Region”. The soil is the key to a healthy crop. With a natural organic matter content in the region ranging between 60-90%, it is perhaps the best soil to grow crops because of the plethora of nutrients it holds. The farm has always been family owned and is fast approaching the 5th generation. Brothers Joseph, David, Danny, and with the help of their mother Sophie, currently operate the 160-acre farm and sell to 10 different locations of farmers markets throughout Westchester County and New York City. They have established a devoted customer base in all of their locations. They grow just about every vegetable from A-Z. While the retail farm market stands are a relatively new concept to some, Morgiewicz Produce has been making a trusted name in the business for more than 20 years in some of their locations.

It is a BEAUTIFUL DAY here at our farm stand!

Honeynut squash is packed with Vitamin A and is almost a smaller version of the Butternut squash except the skin is very thin, making it completely edible!!

Smooth & starchy texture, sweet & nutty flavor.

Honeynut squash makes an excellent sheet pan dinner when paired with roasted chicken!!

Stop by Wednesdays and Fridays from 12-6 and Sundays from 10-4 to get you some of this delicious winter squash!

It’s beginning to look a lot like fall here at our farm stand!!

We have a beautiful display set up with pumpkins & ornamental pumpkins that can double as a spot to take a family photo! 🌻🍁🎃 (all of the pumpkins, ornamental pumpkins, gourds and ornamental corn ARE for sale!)

We are slowly bringing in our cauliflower and broccoli! 🥦🙂

Unfortunately, due to the weather in our area, our farm market at 459 Pulaski highway will be closed Sunday Sep. 27. This is for the safety of our customers as well as our staff. We will resume again on Wednesday with your favorite veggies from the black dirt!
