One of my favorite people showed up yesterday with flowers and she reminded me of a great song, "I feel like playing Hank Williams Tonight". I have Hank on the turntable this morning to honor Lyn and to thank her for being a part of my tribe 🤩

Today is National Black Cow Day! A Black Cow is known around here as a simple root beer float. It is also National Frosted Cookie Day. I've got Frosted Cookies to help you celebrate or you can pick up some vanilla ice cream & root beer 😋

I have Grease on the turntable to celebrate "You're the One That I Want" as the number 1 song on this day in 1978 🎶. I'm pretty sure I still remember every word 🤩. Southern Pecan in the coffee pot and Cinnonnis & other goodies to start your day. Stop by and see me ✌️🩷☕️🍪🏖️.

Why are we celebrating today? It's a fabulous Tuesday on the NC Coast. It's a beautiful morning, Jamaican me Crazy in the coffee pot, Carole King on the turntable and we have a few copies of Bitterweeds available... mom's Book Launch on Saturday was a big success! The Beach Volleyball Team we sponsored has played 6 matches and are undefeated 😁. We have started receiving entries for the Kids T-shirt design contest and they are amazing! We received a shipment of cool stuff from Gypsy Rose and Hacky Sacks are back in stock 🤩

Yesterday was a wonderful day at Spoondrift. A place where friends gather and strangers become friends 🥰. Thank you for helping us make our dream come true!

Today is the Author Presentation and Book Signing for mom's Book, Bitterweeds. The presentation begins at 1:00 PM next door at the Bogue Banks Library, followed by a book signing & reception at Spoondrift!

I am playing the music of Strong Country Women like Loretta, Dolly, Tammy, Patsy... on the turntable to celebrate and I have Southern Pecan in the coffee pot.

Happy National Start Over Day! I am gonna be honest here, I have had a really bad week and haven't been as "chipper" as I normally am. I allowed negative thoughts & energy to bring me down. So I'm starting over today! Remember, we are human. It's ok to fail. It's ok to make mistakes, to give up. It's also ok to forgive yourself and start over.
