Tim and I discussed this last weekend. We as independent t farmers have been dealing with this since our inception. The US is not setup up to support the small farmer. The framework of agriculture has been to support the big commercial producers. You know, the companies owned by “the big three”. The govt. has allowed the import of other counties’ meat and labelled as product or the USA for years. Not necessarily a healthy product and definitely not the origin that has been perceived. Small, local and independent farmers fight and struggle as long as they can to provide safe, healthy meat and I will tell you it is a fight. We are over regulated while they import who knows what into our country and try to pass it off as a produce of the US. I believe we are living through a time of exposure and hopefully an awakening if you will.

August 1st will be our next market. Please come out and support your local small businesses.

Join us for the next Market at the Crossroads on Saturday, August 1, from 8:00 a.m. to Noon at the intersection of Highway 42 and Buffalo Road in Flowers.

Come out and shop with nearly 50 local vendors offering a wide variety of handmade crafts, baked goods, woodworking, fresh plants, locally grown flowers, farm-fresh meats and eggs, fresh produce, and many other unique products. It's a great opportunity to support local businesses, discover unique items, and enjoy a morning in the community.

We will also be collecting school supplies for our ongoing School Supply Drive. A collection box will be available on-site, and we encourage anyone who is able to bring new school supplies to help local students start the upcoming school year with the tools they need for success.

Mark your calendar, invite your family and friends, and come spend the morning supporting local vendors while giving back to the community. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, August 1, from 8:00 a.m. to Noon!
