Here's tonight's 5- guinea config. Should be 7. Lost the lavender (light gray) one that was sitting on a beautiful clutch of eggs and the 6th one probably over the weekend. Theres no sign of her anywhere.

Coriander seeds and more coriander seeds. Did you know cilantro does not grow well in the same conditions as tomatoes? They prefer cooler weather instead like many other herbs.

We are looking to downsize our flock. NPIP #2103 Sweet Homestead Alabama

📍Between Montgomery and Troy, AL near Sikes and Kohns.

We have about 29 laying hens available that are over a year old plus about 19 pullets and cockerels that are less than a year old. None are on heat. All are used to the open range during the day and in the coop at night. All are heritage breeds and are fed Henhouse Reserve.

Thanks to everyone's feedback regarding the value of a laying hen. I'm coming to terms with the fact that they aren't valued as much, even if they are healthy and inspected twice a year.

I've been watching this nest for a bit now. I didn't even notice it until it was constructed in this little nook in the coop. Then there was 1 egg, then 2, then 3. Now there are hungry babies!!!
