We welcomed baby #8 to our family over the weekend! so thankful for another perfect homebirth and everyone that played a part in it.

My wonderful midwife is very strict on the 5-5-5 rule so catch me in the bed for a few more days but i’m eagerly waiting to get back to the homesteading/homemaking with another precious little one in tow 🐮🫏🐓🐐🐷🏡

anyone know anything about saving a brand new piglet?

•one pig had 5 babies last week (all doing great)
•currently bottle feeding a 4 day old baby goat
•got 5 chicks in a brooder insider
•other pig had 7 babies today (ones not doing good)
• 6 eggs hatching Monday

we brought the piglet inside and put it under a heat lamp… currently syringe feeding colostrum replacement but still very weak.

We seen 3Ps Homestead post while at my daughters gymnastics in Lagrange and it brought tears to my eyes. I read their story to my older children and showed them pictures of the stand.. on the way to our home in pine mountain valley we just happened to pass this precious little yellow stand on the side of the road. The kids and I instantly recognized it as the giving stand we just read about. Of course, we had to turn around and check it out. What a wonderful asset to our community! We’ve been tossing around the idea of a Farm Stand at the end of our driveway for a while now but I love the idea of a “giving stand” so much more!! You and your family are absolutely precious (we have a Nora also) ❤️ photo of 3 of our 8 children!

I started the process of making sourdough… then found out the local feed store finally got chicks in… so the dough came along for the ride so I could continue stretch & folds.

also, picked up an aloe plant along the way.
