300,000 metric tons (661,386,787 lbs) of foreign beef planned to be imported in the next 90 days for retail sale in our local grocery stores. For those who don't want mystery meat from Walmart, we are lowering prices on quarters and halves of locally raised beef.

Due to NEVER having enough in stock, we've decided to buy in oxtail, beef tongue and beef marrow bones. Cheek meat is also a new addition to our offal collection!

Great to be working with Sandbur General Store LLC! You can find our snack sticks & summer sausage in their shop! They also have great beef & pork available!

"We picked up a tenderloin from The Butcher in Pine River while there (Sandbur) and it was outstanding! Great quality cut of meat! For $70 we fed 6 of us and had some leftovers...excellent!...it grilled up so well, just salt n pepper and just outstanding flavor"

Another reason to buy local. Beef from Argentina! Beef from foreign countries can arrive here in our hometown and be sold as "local beef" under the COOL Act.

COOL Act stands for the Country of Origin Labeling law. It requires certain food retailers, like grocery stores and supermarkets, to show where specific items—such as certain meats, fish, fresh fruits, vegetables, and nuts—were grown or raised..... Exemptions: Restaurants, butcher shops, and food service groups do not have to follow these rules. Beef and pork were also removed from the federal mandatory program.

We don't share this to cause fear in order to get sales but to make people aware! Also, to offer a solution. Even if you don't buy from us, buy from Farmer Joe down the road. :-)
