Starting the babe on solids and so thankful for our fresh eggs! Six months old and she has her first little head cold, so adding a couple things in to help it pass quickly. 2 Eggs, 1.5oz breast milk, 1/2tsp minced garlic, 1/4tsp Tumeric powder, blend and cook thoroughly. Looks like this will end up being about 5-6 servings. She is more willing if she holds the spoon 😄

Been MIA from the homestead page for a bit while we welcomed our new little farm hand 💗
Thanks to hubby for holding it down while I recovered, and a sweet friend that helped with milking. We also processed three of the pigs a week before her arrival! It’s been an exciting month to say the least. THIS is why we do what we do. She deserves clean food with nothing added, the way God intended.

Homemade goat chocolate milk 💗 packed with natural nutrition, as fresh as it gets, and a sweet treat.
1/2c raw organic sugar
2 Tbs organic cocoa powder
4c goat milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Heat milk to 165 degrees to pasteurize, also makes mixing ingredients easier.
Add sugar, cocoa, and half of the heated milk to a jar and shake to combine.
Add vanilla extract and remaining milk and shake again.
Enjoy hot or promptly cool with refrigeration or cold water bath.
