Farm Fact Friday.

With all the Winter weather we have been having, we have faced a few problems... like most farmers and ranchers, our livestock is taken care of before we are. The cattle eat before we do, even when the gates are frozen shut and I have to climb a fence to feed. Yesterday the cattle had water first. I busted out creek water so they could drink until they could get fresh water. Thumper was melting Ice with 2 hair driers. He said he ain’t dried that much hair in his life. Luckily I was able to siphon water from 50 gallon drums to get water to the weaned calves and the fire department came out to fill up my big trough. Huge thanks to Pineland Volunteers Fire Department.
A dear friend, Scooter, scooted on over and fixed the water piping and delivered feed, so thankful for him.

Extremely blessed to have so many people willing to help in our times of need. Thanks to everyone who helped. We have water, feed and hay.

Y’all continue to pray for every farmer and rancher dealing with this weather. Most people don’t realize everything farmers and ranchers face to raise livestock.
