When you realize it’s Monday

I have to say I’m really feeling good about how the 25-26 rabbit season has gone. This season had a very slow start but we’ve made some big leaps forward in our program. I’ve felt good about the cuts I’ve made and excited for the herd that’s headed into next season.

Now to just get them through the heat of summer. We managed well last year with no heat losses and we hope for the same this year. Fans, lots of water access, and shade.

All the Jrs have “summer ears” on full display. Can’t wait to show you who’s headed into the next season!

Firstly, I know I have zero self control wit empty incubators. I feel like I need at least one cooking at all times. After impulse purchase of some AH-MAZING chicken eggs, I can't leave the incubator with open space, so I gathered up the Roux Pansy eggs from Southern Biophilliac Urban Farm line and the geek in me couldn't help but run a little weight observation. Of 36 eggs set, 10 are 15 grams. 6 are 16 grams. 12 are 17 grams and 1 is 18 grams. These eggs sit so much higher in the quail rails. Gorgeous weighty birds that lay consistently hefty eggs. Welcome to our staple line because they bring the meat and eggs!

Was not planning on pulling any honey till Fall but these ladies are honey bound. Took a few frames and gave them another super.

Jarring up the sweet goods this evening! I have been wanting to try my hand at whipping up some hot honey and I think that needs to happen!
