It's , so here's a real test: where's your shutoff valve?

If you had to think about it, you're not alone. We get calls from people who've lived in their Pinellas Park or St. Pete home for years and still don't know. Fine β€” until you need it fast and can't find it.

Five minutes this week: locate the valve and make sure it's accessible, set aside at least one gallon of drinking water per person per day for several days, and if you're on well water, get it tested if it's been a while.

We've seen enough Florida storm seasons to know that preparing ahead means fewer decisions when the weather turns.

Ever buy really soft towels, then wonder a few months later where that softness went?

Most people blame the washing machine, the detergent, or normal wear. But if your home has hard water, calcium and magnesium can interfere with how detergent works and contribute to buildup in the fabric over time.

The result? Towels can start feeling stiff, rough, and less absorbent β€” even when they aren't that old. If you're also noticing white buildup on faucets, spots on dishes, or soap that won't lather well, your towels may be one more clue.

They may not be worn out. Your water may simply be leaving more behind than you realize.

If your area just went through heavy rain or flooding and you're on well water β€” don't assume it's safe just because it looks normal. Contamination after a storm is often invisible. No smell, no taste, no warning.

Quick version of what to do:

1️⃣ Switch to bottled water for drinking, cooking, ice, and brushing teeth
2️⃣ Don't run your pump if it was underwater β€” get it inspected first
3️⃣ Disinfect the well before use
4️⃣ Wait at least 7–10 days after disinfecting before testing
5️⃣ Test before drinking β€” don't guess

We know storm recovery already has enough on the list. We're happy to take this one off your plate. Call us: (727) 526-1151 πŸ“ž

"I don't know how we lived before."
β€” Literally everyone, a few months into whole house water filtration.

You get used to it so easily. Then you travel, or visit family, and suddenly shampoo doesn't lather right. Skin feels itchy. Hair looks dry. Towels feel stiff. You're constantly offered bottled water, and the ice looks cloudy.

You'd totally forgotten all those little things that quietly made life harder.

That's the thing about whole home filtration β€” it doesn't just filter your drinking water, it treats everything coming into your house. Every shower, every load of laundry, every ice cube. Chlorine taste and smell, gone. Sediment, gone. And once it's just... normal, you stop noticing it's even there. Until you leave.

It starts with a simple water test, so you know exactly what you're dealing with before deciding on anything.

Ever think about how much of what you eat and drink is actually just water?

That morning coffee? About 98% water. Your ice? 100% water. Rice, pasta, soup β€” all cooked in water that becomes part of the final dish. Even your dishwasher and washing machine are only as good as the water running through them.

So when your water's off β€” hard, cloudy, full of minerals β€” it's not just "the water." It's your coffee tasting flat. Your ice cloudy. Your appliances working overtime and wearing out faster than they should.

Good water isn't one small piece of your day. It's most of it.

That's why we treat every system like it matters β€” because it does.

Florida in August doesn't care that you have errands to run.

Lugging 40-lb salt bags from the store to the car to the basement in this heat is nobody's idea of a good afternoon. Sweat through your shirt, throw your back out, and you still have to lift the thing into the tank when you get home.

There's a version of this where you never touch a bag. We deliver, we fill, we check the tank β€” you don't even have to be home.

Let summer be for literally anything else. Set up salt delivery: (727) 526-1151 πŸ“ž

Hurricane season isn't over yet, and if you're on well water, a few minutes of prep now can save you weeks of headache later.

Here's what actually matters:

βœ”οΈ Test your water if it's been a while β€” you'll want a baseline
βœ”οΈ Check that your well cap is sealed and clear of debris
βœ”οΈ Have a backup plan for water access if the power goes out
βœ”οΈ Keep unscented bleach and bottled water on hand, just in case

None of this takes long. But it's the difference between getting back to normal fast and weeks of not knowing if your water's safe.

You picked out that faucet for a reason. Spent way too long comparing dishwashers. Finally got a kitchen that actually looks and feels like you.

Then hard water shows up and starts working against you. Wine glasses coming out of the dishwasher looking dirtier than when they went in. White crust creeping up around the base of your faucet. Even your coffee starts tasting different.

Nobody warns you about this part of having a nice kitchen.

Good news β€” it's usually a much easier fix than people expect.
