Sariah Hoover and I had a surprise yesterday afternoon. We went out with my grandson to look at the sheep and there was a new ram lamb! Laying in the maternity ward alone without mama. Lamb was large and dry but empty belly. Is a large and strong lamb.

We had to check butts and found the mom. First time mom and just was in denial I guess. Lol. Got mom in the maternity ward and gave lamb a bottle of colostrum. Mom got her special food and began to discover that she is a mom! In mom's favor she didn't hate her baby. She just was unsure of it.

This morning I wasn't sure what we would find. His belly was not full. But overnight the hormones started working and she was feeling better. We assisted the lamb to the milk bar and mom stood still! Once the lamb latched on he didn't stop until thst belly was full!

So thankful that mom is taking care of her baby 🐑💕👶😊🎉

I am slow. Holly had a ram lamb Thursday evening. We went out on evening check and found Holly and her ram lamb waiting for us. Holly is a first time mom. Her ram lamb was dry and had a full belly! Such a good mama. Holly was waiting for us to es**rt her and her lamb to the maternity ward. She didn't check herself in but was right outside.

She gulped up her special food and settled down to an uneventful maternity stay. She and her lamb checked out this afternoon and rejoined the herd. Holly is a Finn/babydoll crossed out of our sweet Clara who is no longer with us.

I have been busy and failed to post Saturday delivery. Went out and found Hope had checked herself in to the maternity ward and was waiting on me. She had a beautiful ewe lamb and a ram lamb. Momma and Dad are both. Babydoll. These unregistered babydoll lambs will be available.

Imogene and her twin ewe lambs were released from the shed this morning. Momma was very vocal, calling to her babies as she sprinted to the pasture where her friends and green grass were. But wait, those little lambs have little legs and don't run so well. It was left to me, the shepherd to pick up the lambs and follow.

Momma soon realized that her babies were not with her and she sprinted back to me, shouting her baa over and over.

Once we arrived with the others I set the lambs diwn with her. Soon, Imogene experienced being a twin mom. They both were not following her.

They all have some learning to do. The dogs and I will help get them back together again. The dogs will have babysitting duties and they love that.

We came home from Lunch Partners and I went out to check. Tiny girl had food in her belly and was active. Thank you Lord! Imogene is doing good as a teenage mom!
