This Saturday we will be at Springville Road Public Library for their summer reading program! We are going to have so much fun sharing what it’s like to be a farmer and of course all about Jingles!

Have you ever tried a duck egg?

While chicken eggs are the most common item that is picked up weekly from the farm, we also have duck eggs as an option too!

But what’s in a duck egg?

✨ Duck eggs typically contain:
• More protein to help fuel your day
• Higher levels of healthy fats
• More Vitamin B12 for energy and nervous system health
• Increased amounts of iron, which helps carry oxygen throughout the body
• More selenium, an important antioxidant that supports the immune system

➡️AND because of their larger yolks, duck eggs are often richer, creamier, and a favorite among bakers for making fluffy cakes, pastries, and homemade breads. 🍰🍞😋

HAPPY NATIONAL EGG DAY!

Today we’re celebrating one of the hardest-working products on the farm… the freshest egg!

Did you know that one healthy hen can lay 250–300 eggs each year? Around here, our girls stay busy making sure there’s always something fresh headed from the coop to your kitchen!

Now let’s talk about the difference between farm fresh eggs and store-bought eggs:

🥚 Farm fresh eggs are collected the same day (or within a few days) of purchase.
🥚 They usually have richer yolks and firmer whites- thanks to our great nutritional plan!
🥚 They come straight from local farms instead of traveling hundreds of miles. Hey! That’s us🫶🏻
🥚 Every dozen purchased helps support the farm, our agricultural programs, and our animals. This is our main source for keeping cost down for guest, free travel to schools, and offering our Leave It At The Gate Sessions at no cost.

Can you buy eggs cheaper somewhere else sometimes? Sure.

But those eggs didn’t help feed our chickens, maintain our farm, support agricultural education, or keep a small local farm growing for the next generation. And store bought is gross.

So on this National Egg Day, consider supporting your local egg dealer. 😉🐔

Happy Monday, and happy first day of June friends! We have several exciting updates to share as we head into a busy summer season on the farm🤩

Our flock has been blessing us with plenty of fresh eggs, which means my counters are COVERED in full egg cartons- both chicken and duck eggs🤯

Egg Prices:
• $4 per dozen
• $6 per 18-count carton
•$5 per duck dozen

Farm fresh eggs aren’t just delicious—they’re often richer in flavor, feature bright golden yolks, and come from hens raised right here on our farm.
