Keepongrowing - KOG Homestead We are a small homestead outside of Piqua Ohio offering select farmgoods.

We hope to help bridge the gap between producer and consumer and increase community knowledge/ confidence regarding food independance My husband and I have always been interested in moving towards a more subsistent lifestyle, so a few yrs ago, we decided to dive in. This was our second attempt, and as the littles (our beautiful 4 children) were a tad older, the timing seemed right. We stared out w

ith Buff Orpington laying hens, and quickly progressed to dairy goats, meat chickens and the making of sundries. We have bought and sold goats, and now feel as though we have the right herd for us (we started with all nigerians, but later fell in love with LaManchas). We now breed for milk, for our personal use, our LaMancha mamas to our handsome nigerian buck , producing F1 mini-manchas. We love to talk about our journey, and hope to inspire others to dive in to homesteading :)
