Today is Salsa Saturday...for the last 3 weeks the girls and I have been canning after work...in the mornings. When ever we can squeeze it in. Today is just me...I forget the rhythm I tend to get into when I put things up alone. I love both ways. Preserving for the winter is just our way of life. Jobs and all.

Monday and Tuesday Gaby and Winston spent the day canning corn, crushed tomatoes and she made Balsamic - onion jam. Then she went back to her Mom's and made freezer meals to have when school starts. We still have salsa and pizza sauce to make. I love that my girls know the value of putting up their own food.
