Every week we're highlighting the growers, families, and vineyards that make the SLO Coast so special. This week's W**ery of the Week: 🍷

Planted in 1973, Chamisal Vineyards was the first vineyard in what would become the Edna Valley AVA — and more than five decades later, the is calling it an essential stop on the SLO Coast, citing its influence on California's entire cool-climate w**egrowing movement.

The estate sits just five miles from the Pacific Ocean, producing complex, elegant Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that have made Chamisal one of the most celebrated names on the Central Coast.

The patio alone is worth the visit. Overlooking Chamisal's sloping estate vineyards, the Chronicle described it simply as "a little paradise where you'll want to sit for hours." Bottle service available. Dogs and children welcome.

And this vintage is a milestone. Chamisal is experiencing its earliest harvest in history — and for the first time, they are picking and processing a certified organic vintage, a landmark moment in their commitment to regenerative and responsible farming. The estate is alive right now in a way that only harvest can deliver. If there was ever a time to visit, it's this.
