Save Sunday May 7th for Lical Local on Lorax: A Farm & Art Dinner

More than 3478 people have visited the Welcome Center in Pittsboro NC since it opened in March 2021. 800 since January 2022. 512 from 45 different states and 13 from 7 countries. So says Concierge Paul Sacca, who meets and greets visitors with a smile, a generous amount of friendly chatter and a tome of free informational flyers, magazines, postcards, brochures, maps and more.

The Local on Lorax fundraiser dinner will help the Welcome Center stay alive and Chatham County's economy thrive. You'll meet new and old neighbors, sample some of the best cooking and ingredients around these parts and probably have some fun, too!

Tickets on sale until April 26 at tinyurl.com/LocalOnLorax. Stop by the Welcome Center Wed-Fri 11am-5pm, Sat 10am-5pm or every first Sunday during the Pittsboro Artisan Fair.

Donations are welcome and sponsorships are available. Just ask Paul.

$35K raised. The WELCOME CENTER will remain open for another year. More fundraisers to come! Thank you, Chatham County.

The fundraiser — Local on Lorax — was held at Forest Hall at Chatham Mills, giving attendees the chance to enjoy a locally sourced four-course meal, cocktails courtesy of Fair Game Distillery and bmc brewing, a live jazz band and a live auction.
