CHATHAM FOODIE ALERT! 🚨- we had the opportunity to try out A Tavolo Italian Eatery last night for a “Friends & Family”soft opening.  It was wonderful, and this is going tonbe such a great addition to the community. They have created a real beautiful space with wonderful ambience. As they get going, the menu is a little limited, but will grow over time. I forgot to take pictures of it, but the burrata as well as the calamari were both flavorful and delicious. For dinner we had a beef and pork ragu and also an amazing fish dish, but of course I forgot their names! The important part is they were delicious, tasted fresh, and would definitely have again. As they open next week, please be patient while they get their feet up under them as they work through operations, hiring and nail down the menu, recipes, and procedures.

Very cool! Choose from Signature ramen recipes or build your own. Lots of choices for ingredients, toppings, and noodles. Scan the barcode on the noodles and the induction cooker does the rest in just a few minutes and then you have hot and delicious ramen. Yum, yum! Soon they will be expanding into additional space with a cocktail bar. So many great things happening at Koshu Sake Bar and The Plant!

Wow - looks yummy and so glad it is to support Feed-Well Fridges!

The countdown is ON for our first Pop-Up for a Purpose fundraiser for Chef Sera's Feed-Well Fridges! Join us this Thursday and Friday 5-9 pm for ramen night at Cafe Root! Chef will be serving up two versions of her tasty ramen: Pulled pork and a vegetarian/vegan miso coconut. Don't miss this one chance to return to Cafe Root for a delicious meal and for a great cause!

That’s a wrap. My last meal at Cafe Root Cellar. Thank you Sera Cuni, Susan, Larkin Willis and the rest of the team for always making it feel like home. You served amazing plates of love with sides of humor. We will miss this amazing chapter, but are so excited for all the amazing things you’ll do for our community in the next one! You filled our tummies and nourished our souls. That is it for me, but Chatham County you have two more chances. Don’t miss your shot!

Lovely day for a lunch at Small Cafe Bed and Breakfast Small cafe B and B - We enjoyed the chicken salad sandwich and especially “THE” grilled cheese. Just look at that melt! 😋
