I’m very excited and honored to share that I was hand-picked by the City of Pittsburg to be part of their food vendor list for the Taste of the Times Food Market, part of the Little Balkans Festival! ❤️

This Friday, September 4, from 5–9 PM at Immigrant Park, I’ll be serving my Chicken Shawarma Platters until I sell out!

The platter will include:

✨Chicken shawarma marinated in yogurt, tahini, special spices, and other flavorful ingredients
✨Turmeric rice topped with sautéed red onions and plenty of sumac
✨Fresh cucumber, tomato & parsley salad
✨Mediterranean pickles
✨Creamy garlic sauce
✨Hummus
✨Fresh flat pita bread

Being personally selected to participate means so much to me, and I’m excited to bring some of my Mediterranean flavors to one of Pittsburg’s biggest community celebrations.

Allergy information: The chicken marinade contains dairy and sesame (tahini). Tahini is made from sesame seeds.

We’re back at the Farmers Market! ✨🤍

After getting the kids back to school and getting my own college classes, book lists, and everything else figured out, I can finally get back to cooking!

Keeping it simple and going back to the basics for now nothing too crazy yet!!

Did you know that in Saudi Arabia, fried chicken is a BIG deal?

We have thousands of restaurants serving fried chicken even multiple restaurants in the same city! But the Saudi way of eating it just hits different: crispy fried chicken with a soft burger bun, shoestring fries, and of course, that delicious garlic dip!

Chicken + bun + fries + garlic sauce = the perfect combination.🤍✨

Butter Chicken Combo
Tender chicken cooked in a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce with butter, cream, garlic, ginger, and traditional Indian spices. Served with rice and fresh naan bread.

Lentil Masala Combo (Vegetarian)
Lentils cooked with tomatoes, onions, garlic, ginger, and traditional masala spices. Served with rice and fresh naan bread.

Kushary (Vegetarian)
A traditional Egyptian dish made with rice, lentils, pasta, and chickpeas, topped with tomato sauce and crispy fried onions. Served with a tangy garlic-vinegar sauce.

Vegetable Samosas (Vegetarian) gluten free!
Crispy pastry filled with seasoned potatoes, peas, carrots, and warm spices, fried until golden.

Chickpea Biryani (Vegetarian)
Fragrant basmati rice cooked with chickpeas, onions, tomatoes, herbs, and aromatic biryani spices.

Hummus Tubs (Vegetarian)
Creamy hummus made with chickpeas, tahini and olive + sumac.

Stuffed Grape Leaves Tubs (Ve getarian)

Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the Farmers Market today. My little one got her flu shot yesterday and wasn’t feeling well afterward with a fever. ❤️‍🩹

I still prepared everything for the market last night because I was hoping she would be feeling better by this morning, but unfortunately she wasn’t.

Since the food is already prepared and fresh, I’m taking orders this afternoon until 6 PM! ✨

I had so much fun collaborating with TOAST to cater this special event and bringing some Mediterranean flavors to Heather Lynn Horton’s menu. It means a lot to be trusted with sharing the food and traditions I grew up with alongside such an amazing team.

Thank you, Heather, and TOAST, for continuing to believe in me, opening new doors, taking me places and introducing me to incredible people in our business community. Every collaboration has given me opportunities to grow, learn, and reach places I never imagined.

And one thing I’ve learned… when Heather and I collaborate, we mean business. ❤️✨
