Clothes made out of BOOKS?!👗📖

When I heard about this, I drove up to in the North Hills to see it for myself 👀 Over the weekend, the library hosted their annual fundraising event, the Garden Gala, and the theme was Phantom of the Library!

The dress 👗and suit 🕴️shown here are MADE FROM BOOKS including book pages and other materials. All designed by the talented local high schooler Sidney .rose.sews 🙌🧵🪡

The library said this is Sidney’s fourth year in making book attire for their Garden Gala. So impressive right??👏👏👏

Authentic Chinese home-style cooking

North Hills friends, this gem in Allison Park is a must try! YOYO Panda is from the same owners of Yotea & Yoka Kitchen in Oakland. The unassuming location is a delight inside with elevated Chinese food and other Asian fusion options. Everything was 11/10 including and here’s the feast we indulged in!⬇️

Roasted duck
Chicken satay
Steamed dumplings
Taiwanese popcorn chicken (served in the cute basket)
Creamy chicken corn soup
Beef Pho
Beef chow fun
Singapore Mei Fun (with thin rice noodles and shrimp)
Boba milk teas
Hot tea with real fruit and cane sugar

We loved it a lot and we’ve already been back! They also serve afternoon tea and apps at a discount during the work week. 🫖

Food, Football, Philanthropy

Thanks to the event team for having me at Taste of the Draft in downtown Pittsburgh this week. The event was hosted by PNC Bank, and the Steelers to give back to , a national nonprofit tackling student hunger in Pennsylvania and beyond. 91 schools in PA are the recipients this season, as we celebrate the NFL Draft’s 91st year! We mingled with Steelers players, NFL legends, Steely (!) and enjoyed bites from 20 PGH restaurants.
