Champions for the youth!

TABLE Magazine’s Justin Matase and Keith Recker threw a great party at Café Momentum! Executive Director Cheyenne Tyler has created a true place of transformation.

We gathered for a sit-down, family-style dinner hosted by our friends at Café Momentum in Market Square. We were greeted by the team and shown to our table with energetic smiles and the warmth of a welcoming family. As the night went on, the table filled with friends we hadn’t shared a meal with in far too long.

Then the courses started coming, one gorgeous plate after another. A fresh salad. Crispy calamari, perfectly cooked. Carved strip steak. Trout almondine. Pavé potatoes. Roasted broccolini. And a flawless crème brûlée to finish. Every plate was better than the last, and every one of them was saturated with love and dedication. It was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time.

The team at Café Momentum takes the time to care for and encourage young people facing barriers, showing them what it means to embrace hospitality, not only for their guests, but for themselves and for their families at home. Traveling through the storms of life can make anyone weary. Last night, that team showed us what happens when people pour love into the lives of those around them. The storm passes, and life begins.

I’m not sure if it was the seasoning that hit the spot or the overwhelming amount of love filling the room. I suspect it was both. Culinary craft meets heartfelt hospitality. That is a true recipe for a lifelong experience.

Thank you for opening your doors to us and allowing us to experience the joy that is Café Momentum. Pour into their lives and watch their gardens grow.

That is what we felt last night. That is what we carry forward.

Congratulations to Madison and Joseph! 🤍✨

Madison and Joseph exchanged wedding vows at the Energy Innovation Center, with their reception following.

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour featuring a Farmers Market Crudité and a beautiful display of fresh fruit, cheeses, and meats.

Dinner was served buffet-style with all the fun favorites: honey BBQ pulled pork, smoked beef brisket, macaroni and cheese, green beans, sea salt Yukon potatoes, white balsamic peach chicken, and a juicy watermelon, mint, and blueberry salad.

After dancing the night away, guests were treated to a late-night snack of mini hot dogs, mac & cheese squares, and mini pierogies!

The DJ kept everyone on their feet until the very end, when Madison and Joseph shared their final dance before their send-off.

Congratulations, Madison and Joseph! Thank you for having Bistro To Go be a part of your special day. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness! 💍

Things aren’t always what they seem at the Museum of Illusions Pittsburgh ! ✨

Bistro To Go had so much fun catering a recent Open House, with our setup right in the Optical Illusions Hallway and cocktails served by Ace Bartending.

The Museum of Illusions is such a fun and unexpected Pittsburgh destination, filled with interactive exhibits, immersive rooms, optical illusions and plenty of great photo opportunities. It’s also a unique venue for private birthday parties, corporate events and team-building experiences, giving guests a chance to interact, laugh and experience something completely different together.

We loved being part of the evening and getting to experience this one-of-a-kind space.

Congratulations, Grace and Quincy!!! 💍

After exchanging wedding vows, the couple enjoyed cocktail hour with their guests before heading into the reception.

Grace and Quincy chose a uniquely creative buffet that gave guests the choice between the bride’s favorite foods and the groom’s favorites!

Grace’s station featured Heirloom Tomato Chicken, Blackened Salmon, Parmesan Pasta, Sea Salt Potatoes, and more.

Quincy’s station featured Beef Bulgogi, Bulgogi-Style Tofu, Asian Slaw, Stir-Fried Rice, Wheat Noodles with Sesame Ginger Sauce, Asian Vegetables with Bok Choy, and Chicken Wontons.

Which one would you choose? Both, of course, and that’s exactly what their guests did!!

And we can’t forget the endless cookie table, which was a huge hit!

About a year ago, I made a decision to get healthy. I want to give a shout-out to my trainer, Mike from House Call Personal Training . He is the absolute best! Each week, he keeps me motivated and gets me stronger so I can give Bistro my best. He is so knowledgeable about fitness, and I am a huge fan.

As a side benefit, I get to hear stories of Mike’s rock climbing, the adventures of his young son, Bennett, and his cool little family! Thanks, Rachel, for letting him out at 5:30 a.m.!

I am so grateful for the difference this is making in my life. Before and after coming soon!

Bella and Austin’s wedding at the Mansion at Hartwood Acres was an elegant summer garden party from beginning to end.

Summery neutrals, soft sage and whimsical white paper parasols set the scene, with cocktail hour spilling into the adjacent garden. A summer tomato bar and champagne cart were perfect touches for such a beautiful setting.

Dinner was all about the flavors of the season: Summer Peach Salad, Heirloom Tomato Chicken, Baked Lemon Crunch Cod, Basil Pesto Penne Pasta, Sea Salt Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes and a Summer Vegetable Medley.

And of course, the family cookie table. They even came up with a clever way to keep the more delicate, melt-prone cookies fresh throughout the celebration. A Pittsburgh tradition with some smart summer planning.

The team behind the day made everything feel effortless. Abigail Cannon of coordinated all the details, Allie and the team at Hartwood Acres managed the site, family friend Rachella created the florals, Tipsy Wheels kept the drinks flowing, and Ryan Ballard / DJ Hipnotik kept this incredibly fun group of guests celebrating.

Elegant, whimsical and delightfully summery. Such a lovely day for Bella and Austin at one of Pittsburgh’s most beautiful settings. Thanks for allowing Bistro to be part of the celebration! ✨💖

Congratulations to Haleigh and James! 🤍

What a beautiful setting for a summer wedding in Ligonier. Haleigh and James exchanged vows on the lawn of the bride’s parents’ home, followed by cocktails by the pool and an evening of incredible food and celebration.

Guests enjoyed butler-passed hors d’oeuvres including tempura shrimp, bay crab cake bites, prosciutto toast and giardiniera toast before making their way to the reception tent.

For dinner, Chef Kevin of 408 Heirloom joined Bistro’s Chef Kenny to create a beautiful summer spread featuring chef-carved hanger steak, blackberry chicken, grilled salmon, heirloom string bean salad and roasted vegetables.

We loved being part of this beautiful day. Thank you, Haleigh and James, for having Bistro To Go at your table. Congratulations again! ✨
