[YEAR TWO]
Toward the end of our first year, things irrevocably changed at NFBC and very much for the better. After feeling a bit listless as year one wound down, we were able to refocus and reclaim the steering wheel. We focused in on what makes us successful and set our eyes on a plan for sustainable growth. Through all the bumps & bruises, highs & lows, countless hours of work & lost sleep, the brewery has grown but more importantly, it regained its focus. We simplified NFBC.
We made our static beers (“Something Analog” & “Lupulin Nouveau”) our foundation, and we diverted our attention back to what made us who we are, our lager program. Wholesale became our horse, and we have fostered and maintained over a hundred great relationships with the Pittsburgh area’s best purveyors of craft beer. We have also laid the foundations of what will be our second location. We have signed a lease for a small taproom in the War Streets Neighborhood directly across the street from the iconic, Randyland. We will continue to update you all as we get further along in the process.
To commemorate our second anniversary, we are releasing “Didn’t See This Coming”. This beer was named for a lack of foresight, as never anticipated NFBC being this far ahead of schedule after only year two. “Didn’t See This Coming” is our Belgian-style Tripel, “Blindfold”, aged for over six months in French Oak Red Wine Barrels sourced from one of Napa’s finest wineries. Available on draft and in 4-PKs at our Hazelwood location on Friday the 12th and (as always) throughout the Pittsburgh area at reputable purveyors of craft beer.
Please join us on Friday, June 12th from 5-10pm for our anniversary party. Thank you again to all of those who helped to support our idea and get us this far.
