Do not adjust your television...uhhh, your hand-held device. A few rogue kegs of Ginga Wheat have been found out in Penn Hills! THANK YOU, PITTSBURGH πŸ˜ƒ. Once again, you welcomed us back to the Burgh in fine fashion this past June for the release of the old Ginga Wheat. It's always a good place to return to where everybody knows your name, and most are glad we came πŸ€ͺ to the roundaboutpopup

High fives to East End Brewing for brewing/canning the G-dub this year. Oh, and for hosting us at the beer garden down by the river.

Just trying to support the local economy 🍻. Steve was lucky enough to put some hours in at for the 2026 NZ hop season. This got us hankering some fresh hop pints. Local Canterbury brewers snagged some gorgeous hops from the farm, so we hit our favorite spots. Maybe a couple of got in the mix too πŸ₯°

Homefield Farmhouse Ale and First Pick WCIPA, Late to the Party, Hop XPA, Local Drop Golden Ale, The Garston Flyer, Rakau Fresh Hop IPA, Touch Grass and Antipodal High Five, Cut and Run, .palace Fresh Hop Red IPA, Fresh Hop Canned Heat. Shout out to .brewers.collective and for having some great fresh hop beer in tap this season.

How lucky were we when Dana Quinlan came to visit us here in Ōtautahi Christchurch this past March 2026?
Shout out to and Meghan for planning a great trip down to Canterbury. Bonus hangs with πŸ₯°

This visit included and a damn good pie from , .palace . Crammed into just a day or two.

It is amazing how restorative another person's energy/misery can be in these times 😁.

Also, Steve will always check on Dana and her derelict pancreas/sugar levels at an incredibly endearing level 😍.

Of course we're supporting family owned/operated breweries in Christchurch, NZ.

Amy and Thomas opened up Renegade Brewery a year ago. We were there on the first day. Quality peeps with quality beers and community driven appeal. They celebrated their 1 year anniversary last week 🍻

Flick through the photos in the post and you'll spot Steve thoroughly enjoying supporting someone else running a brewery 😁.

Also, how is there NOT a brewery in Pittsburgh called Renegade?

And when Dyana was 3 years old, she lived half a block away from this spot on Orbell Street πŸ₯°.
