I've spent a lot of time finding the right bit for Bennett. When he came to me, he was incredibly insecure and uncomfortable with a bit and bridle, more signs of his past and the anxiety it created.

He's made his needs very clear- he wants something stable. Fixed cheek, solid mouthpiece, NO rubber and he doesn't want something on his tongue.

Funny enough, this is almost identical to the needs of my previous sensitive mouthed mare, and they've both thrived with the shape and function of this piece.

10/10 for the Cavalon low port egg butt snaffle and quiet grazing/work sesh WITH his bridle on. Obsessed with our Lumiere bridle and how beautifully it frames his dreamy head 🤩🐴💕🌟

We've been hiding a pint-sized surprise with a big personality!!

Now that he's out of quarantine and on the mend from a bit of a rough go, Perogie has officially joined the team as our resident "stallion support manager!"

Perogie is approximately 17 years old and is coming out of a rough patch of inadequate care but he's quickly on the mend with a body clip, a new feeding program and a pedicure 💅🏻

Perogie is a sweet, fun and playful soul who fits right in with our crew.

Bennet is thrilled with his new BFF and we're thrilled they've become fast friends.

(And can I mention that was hands down the easiest herd introduction I've ever seen especially with a stallion?!)

✨Boring✨ is my favorite type of work session.

Now that Benny is cleared to start his ground work back up, we've hopped right back into his R+ restart and you'd think we never took almost a year long hiatus.

This boy absolutely thrives with positive reinforcement and will do everything in his power to understand what you ask. It's a shame to know someone took advantage of that in his younger years but the past is the past.

Benny sure has been enjoying the warmer weather and stretching his legs! Some in-hand hill work have been a great way to introduce some conditioning on the ground.
