On Saturday, we hosted the second night of a two-day festival with sour city and Silver Lake Booking

Featuring a six-band lineup, we were excited to welcome back Velveteen and radical joy along with hosting a bunch of new bands for the first time.

We’ve got two more Silver Lake shows this month: the Easton Martin tribute show on Thursday, October 15 and the Halloween banger we’re hosting with Silver Lake and Potency on October 24 at St. Stephen’s Church (around the corner from us on East Street).

Thanks to everyone who came through and has been supporting local and independent music for the last four years!

📣📚 This month, we’ll be reading Lost Children Archive by Valeria Luiselli for the Hot Plate Book Club.

We’re also going to be changing the nights of our meetings to Mondays starting this month.

🙏 Thanks to The Michael James Jackson Foundation for Brewing & Distilling Sarah had the opportunity to join a bunch of industry friends in Yakima, WA for this year’s hops harvest at John I. Haas, Inc.

During the trip she got the chance to do even more extensive sensory training, to check out this year’s crops, and to hang with a bunch of other BIPOC folks in the b**r world.

For a brewery as small as ours, it’s always quite the eye-opening event when we get to see the sheer scale of how much agricultural work goes into each pint we eventually produce.

Thanks again to the Michael J. Jackson foundation for providing the resource to folks like Sarah to continue their ongoing educations and advance their careers in the b**r world! 🙌❤️

🎉📚 Since it’s National Library Sign-Up Month, and we all love our local library here in Pittsfield, we’ve got two different bookish events slated for September.

First, we’ll be meeting on Wednesday, September 23 at 7pm to discuss ERASURE by Percival Everett

On Monday, September 28, we’ll have a popup event with Berkshire Athenaeum that afternoon followed by Jim Shepard reading from his new collection THE QUEEN OF BAD INFLUENCES at 7pm. We’ll also have copies for sale in the taproom thanks to our friends Indie Readery & Records
