You can almost hear the plants sighing with relief! It hqs been weeks since it has rained this much. This passing shower is much needed as most of Maine is in drought or severe drought again. Forecasted storms over the last couple weeks have missed us. This one lasted for about 20 minutes. The pastures and hay field a desperately needed it!

The 10th Annual Maine Cheese Festival is happening Sunday, September 13, at Manson Park in Pittsfield, Maine.

More than 65 Maine-made vendors will be there, with plenty of cheese to taste, makers to meet, live music, a cheese competition, and a beer and wine tent to keep the afternoon going.

And this year, the weekend starts early: on Saturday, September 12, catch a special screening of Holy Cow! at , celebrating the people and traditions behind artisan cheesemaking.
