With a 2021 Local Farmer Award Brattle Farm purchased large reusable tarps to suppress weeds in their fields. The reduction of weeds reduced labor and resulted in a significant increase in overall crop yields. They reported an 80% increase in pumpkins, potatoes, and squash in 2021! This improvement also helped Brattle Farm make important progress towards achieving a completely no-till operation.
