Happy Friyay Everyone!!

In this video I show you how to pinch snapdragons for more blooms! It’s a trick of the flower industry that most people don’t know! It can be done with zinnias, cosmos, sweet peas, marigolds, calendula, snapdragons, and celosia (not the cockscomb kind).

Happy International Family Day!

If you’re new here—welcome! I’m Laci Miler, wife to Chris and mom to Conner, Andrew, and Ethan. Conner and Andrew have flown the nest, but Ethan (14) still keeps us on our toes. I’m proud to be the third generation living on this land, and every stem we grow carries a bit of our family story.

Our farm’s name was inspired by one of my most treasured memories: walking down my grandma’s sidewalk and breathing in the scent of her peonies. Some of those very same peony plants still grow here and are part of the bouquets we share with you.

Everything we grow—every flower and vegetable—is started, planted, and nurtured by us, right here on our farm. When you buy from us, you’re not just getting something fresh and beautiful—you’re helping us clothe and care for our son, buy supplies, pay allowances, and support other small businesses in our community.

We may not have grocery store prices, but every dollar you spend goes back into this land, this family, and this community. Thank you for choosing to support local and for being part of our story.

It was a productive day in the garden yesterday and more to do today before the storms roll in!

Brussels sprouts and carrots 🥕 are coming along nicely, and our leafy greens are looking lush. Kale and cabbage are settling in well too. We also got our yarrow planted 🌼—can’t wait to see those blooms—and added some much-needed trellis support to the sweet peas 🌿. Our second trellis is going up this week for sugar snap peas and beans.

Peonies and ranunculus will not be quite ready for the farmers market this weekend. We will have our freeze dried candy though!

Who would like to see some Daisy/Iris bouquets (like the ones picture below minus peonies) and mini Lily of the valley bundles?

Ranunculus, peonies, daisies and irises are up next for bouquets! Spent some much needed time cleaning up the tulip bed to flip it over to our lettuce.

More netting has went up and 200 Lisianthus have made their way to the garden! Tomorrow will be yarrow, more radishes and some others will be making their way out this week!

We’re thrilled to announce our Summer Sunset Bouquet Workshop is happening on Saturday , August 9th!

Come unwind in the garden, sip something sweet 🍹, and design your own dreamy summer bouquet 🌸🌻 as the sun sets over the flowers 🌅. It’s the perfect way to soak in the beauty of summer and treat yourself before schedules, school supplies, and early mornings return 📚✏️.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our tent at the Hillsdale County Farmers Market today!

We had a wonderful turnout, and your support truly means so much. It was a successful day, and we’re already looking forward to seeing you all again next week!

This Mother’s Day is extra special—and a little bittersweet—for me, as it’s the first one without my mom here. I’m holding that close to my heart while celebrating all the amazing moms (and single dads) out there.
