My flower farm experiment art project thing is popping off right now after months and months of work. I make this video to show the thought process behind how the rows are planted, harvested, and my idea for the ultimate product of this farm.

I am finding the output of a “Mystic” flower growing method is incredibly efficient and bountiful, worthy to take this technical note of.

After only 62 hours from last harvest, I was able to once again harvest the flower rows to a considerable degree.

Part of the harvest is pictured arranged in the crate image here.

The zinnia, when planted in this formation, is incredibly bountiful.

A single planting of the yellow color has been harvest three times.

The yellow row of flowers are currently matured for a fourth harvest.

The health of the plant very good, along with the quality of the flower.

This amount of cut flower produce from a single planting, I find it exceptional to what I have studied in flower and vegetable farming.

There is no doubt that this farming method, coupled with the great American farming infrastructure, can place fresh flowers and the accompanying herbs in every home, office, restaurant, hotel lobby, coffee shop, or other similar places imaginable.

Exact instructions to plant this way are listed on Mystic garden website, www.mysticflower.garden

We brought a truck load of flowers to s.jersey.pres farmer’s market at Lost Elephant Brewing Co. on Friday evening.

Packages of flowers were exhibited in our reproduction vintage “fruit crates”.

We also brought along some local historic farm and box graphics which helped inspired the flower display.

(If you ever come across local antique farm boxes or graphics, please bring them to my dad and brother’s store for us to preserve).

It was very nice to see you all and great to be apart of the event.

If you received flowers please do tell me how well / long they hold up and any thoughts you have about the product and the way it was arranged.

Vintage Schalick Mills 100lb Feed Bags, a whole stack of them, were found well-preserved in our barn under a decades-old pile of hay.

The artwork has been preserved by extracting the ink stamp from the surface.

If you want to see the artwork that was on the bag, it will be displayed at the Farmer's market at Lost Elephant Brewing Company 5pm to 8pm friday 9/4 as part of our flower exhibition at South Jersey Preservation farm market series.

We have been at work tending to the flowers. The land at the farm is incredibly lush and fertile. This “small” planting produces a bountiful amount of flowers, so much that it is impossible to collect them all with what we have. You can find these ‘Mystic’ flowers at South Jersey Preservation market this Friday 5pm to 8pm at Lost Elephant Brewing Company

1968 Farmer's Expenses & Profit in South Jersey...

Proud to share with you this unique item from our collection which we rescued with permission.

This is a 58 year old hand-made register where a vegetable farmer outlines all of his income & expenses.

The register is written on these two sheets found amongst a log of daily vegetable harvests.

Even more interesting, it was all stacked below a cigar box full of the auction receipts.... The graphic on the cigar box was gift artwork celebrating the birth of a baby girl.

In all he profited about 100k in today's dollars - not bad!

Though you can see how razor thin the profit was: there was an enormous risk of upfront cost to produce this food.

The fields are starting to push out buckets upon buckets of flowers every few days. There are so many I can not possibly process them all considering the completion of the farm buildings and infrastructure. The central stems have matured and blooms now continually branch from this. I found dozens of heads exceeding 4”, nearing to 5”. The weather has been very favorable this year. The plants can be harvested about 3-4 times before they go sour.
