This year at Pittstown Petals, we gave spring blooms another try by planting cool-season hardy annuals in the fall. Did everything go perfectly? Definitely not. But that’s part of the joy of flower farming—learning through trial and error, celebrating the wins, and taking lessons from the challenges.

While our spring blooms are a little later than we’d hoped, we’re excited to finally see the first flowers from our fall-sown hardy annuals beginning to bloom. At the same time, the warm-season tender annuals are settling into the field and getting ready for their turn to shine.

Here’s a little glimpse of where we are right now—the start of spring blooms and the promise of a beautiful summer ahead. 🌸🌱

Our birds are always out on pasture, but moving them onto fresh grass is still their favorite. 🌱🐓

We rotate pastures regularly so they always have access to fresh grasses and new areas to explore, while supplementing with feed we grow and make ourselves right here on the farm using our non-GMO soybeans and local grains.
