An update from the vineyard, just over a month after the devastating frost that impacted much of the East Coast on April 21st.
We’re beginning to see new growth emerge from remaining secondary and tertiary buds, with a small number of flowers that will hopefully become fruit - what we expect to be roughly 10% of a normal harvest.
Our focus this season is on helping these vines recover and regain balance so they’re strong enough to withstand the coming winter and return healthy for future vintages.
This will be an unprecedented and challenging year, but farming has always required resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to accept that nature ultimately decides our fate. We’re doing everything we can to make the most of what this season has given us.
*One important thing to note is that we still have plenty of wine to sell in our tasting room, as the small but mighty 2026 vintage won’t be bottled for at least another year. So get out there and support your local wineries!
