My sweet Molly girl got artificially inseminated today!! I AM CRAZY EXCITED!! She did soooo good and she is such a sweet cow, I just love her so much and feel so blessed to have such a patient and easygoing girl for my first cow 💕 I really hope she takes and we’ll find out in 90 days 🤞🤞🤞

I can finally share some exciting news! We are adding a special little doeling to the herd 🤩 For a little tike she’s already got a beautiful front end and that’s something my herd needs improvement on. I know she’s going to add great things to my herd and I’m excited to see her fill out!

Her sires side is whats really impressing to me, there is so much potential there. I’ve seen this sire do wonders in other herds and he seems to throw a lot of consistency. Below is him and his dams udder. Lots of champion lines on his side 🏆🥇

We entered our beautiful Molly into the Mini Jersey Virtual show. The pictures do not do her beautiful conformation justice!! I needed to visibly be in each picture with our Mini Jersey shirts but the problem was that every time I’m next to her she wouldn’t stand still 🤪 I took some videos and was cracking up watching them because she’s like a big puppy just constantly needing affection lol. We tried our best and that’s all that matters. Here’s to 🤞 that my girl wins 🏆🥇

Abby had her first Grooming and did amazing! In the beginning she was very reluctant to go and very stressed out about it so the groomers thought taking Louie may help her trust the whole process, and it did! They said she followed his lead the whole time and even fell asleep while being brushed. So proud of my boy and girl, they make such a terrific team! 🥰

We did a thing! After many years of wishful thinking of having a paved driveway, it came true 🖤🖤🖤 Our kiddo can’t wait to ride up and down on his bike and have enough room to play basketball 🏀🚴 Come winter when we get snow we’ll also be able to now plow our driveway 🌨️❄️ Who knew a road could bring so much excitement. Molly finally had her first Pedicure 💅🏼 She was so scared, but such a good girl. Her eyes calmed down once I started to pet her face, my heart melted!

The guys were in awe of how beautiful she was and how well put together she is for a mini. They even commented on how nice her udder looked and her hooves. Proud mama moment 🥹

Side note, I got her some nail polish that I need to put on! 😆

GROOM your LGD’s!!! I’m not perfect, I didn’t do it for the first couple years of owning our dog until I realized the importance of it. You see people all over the internet getting them and leaving them outside and never having them “leave” the farm so you just assume that grooming is not a thing for them, at least that’s what I thought. I never saw anyone getting theirs groomed. But an animal that has this type of fur coat needs it, and they need a professional groomer. Not to mention that their rear end gets pretty disgusting if not properly kept up. With all that hair and dirt it gets matted and nasty. Louie NEVER gets shaved (besides his rear). Soon as I start to see him losing his winter coat I send him to get a groom sesh and de-shedded and de-matted. Depending on how bad his matting gets he may have up to 3 sessions annually, but only one de-shedding as their undercoat is so important.

Leash training co-exists with grooming. Without proper leash training how do you convince your dog to go anywhere?

Abby got to meet the groomers today. We will slowly get her use to them and eventually she’ll have her own spa day as well. She missed Louie today and cried for him a few times. But all is well now that our big Forest Polar Bear is back home 😂 Now go get your dog groomed for the summer!! 😆☀️🥵🔥🐶🌭
