As we wind things down for CBW the memories and stories are flooding in! What an amazing ride we have had - we thought it would be fun to try and trace back what brewers/breweries were touched by CBW. CBW was a jumping off point for a lot of us - either past employees, shoppers or just beers at the tasting bar answering questions and bouncing ideas off eachother.

REMINDER - LAST DAY

We'll have our last day of regular in-person shopping this Saturday July 17th from 10-2pm (PLEASE NOTE CLOSING TIME)

From the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU. These last few Saturdays we've seen a lot of you - you've made your final walk throughs, you've stocked up and you've shared lots of stories/smiles/laughs. Our hearts are full and we can't wait for our next adventure.

Oh and.... our CO2 Exchange Program will continue through Werk Force - stay tuned!

IMPORTANT REMINDER - LAST DAY 7/17 10-2PM

We are no longer shipping orders - all orders placed online this week will be available for in-person pick up Saturday July 17th from 10-2pm

THIS SATURDAY 7/17 will be our last day - please note we'll be closing early at 2pm.

After Saturday we'll take inventory and see what we have left - we are planning to have one last hurrah in August so keep your eyes peeled!

Also, for everyone asking about CO2 - we'll continue our exchange program through the Werk Force Brewing Tap Room - start date is TBD but hoping by the end of August.

To all our wonderful customers,

Ten years ago we started a dream at our kitchen table. Although we had limited resources our passion and drive to start our own business thrived. Chicago Brew Werks was established and rapidly became one of the premier home brew shops in all of Chicagoland. Incredible times were had, lifelong friends made, beers brewed and beers shared.

Today we made a tough decision to permanently close Chicago Brew Werks over the coming weeks. Before we say anything further, we want to truly thank everyone that has been a part of our journey the past decade. Incredible employees, hard work and dedication helped us grow our business and eventually expand and begin Werk Force Brewing Co.

Over the past few years the homebrewing industry has been in steady decline. Hobbies come and go for everyone and we realized that our time has come to refocus our thoughts and passion. As the saying goes, where one door closes another one opens.

Although it may seem somber to announce the upcoming closure of CBW, we are incredibly excited to repurpose the space to continue growing Werk Force. We will be utilizing the store to house additional space for our barrel aged beer program. We look forward to eventually reopening the tasting area located inside CBW.

Moving forward over the next few weeks we will be running sales as we begin to liquidate our homebrew shop inventory.

Here will be the hours over the next few weeks:
Saturday, July 3rd – 10:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday, July 10th – 10:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday, July 17th – 10:00am to 2:00pm

We will closing after July 17th to restock and take inventory of what we have left. We plan on opening for one last hurrah in early August – Date to be determined

We want to be very clear that we are rooted in our community and plan for Werk Force to be around for a very long time. That being said, if you purchased a gift card for CBW and do not have the chance to use it by the time we say our last goodby and close the shop doors we are working on a system to be able to accept those gift cards at our Werk Force taproom – but please bare with us, this is new territory for us to merge everything.

Thank you again to everyone for all the wonderful times we had at Chicago Brew Werks. We look forward to continuing to see all of you at our tap room and in the near future the new Werk Force barrel age digs.

NEW WEBSITE!!!

Yes it may look very similar but we have a NEW website - please be patient as we continue to fine tune the site over the next few weeks. If you see anything weird/not working please reach out to us - it will be very helpful!

IMPORTANT:
If you had an account on the old website we're sorry but it did not come along for the ride and you'll have to create a new account for the new site - super quick and easy!

When ordering please make sure to let us know if you'd like your grain milled or not milled - we are in the process of adding a checkbox when ordering but it's not there just yet
