Personally, I don't know the family, I know that one was raised close to home. If you are placing a green bow on your mailbox, you know what happened two Saturdays ago on Rt. 14.

Art is a funny thing... there is this antiquated notion that the more accessible it is, the less fine it becomes... so when I see this wind torn butcher paper and green wax tissue, cradling desiccated blooms, sun bleached and shredded from wind of the daily commuters... I am humbled.

Not token humility, not some performative prose of "count your blessings"... but gutted. Stop in your tracks, let the pain of it wash over you, feel the gravity of grief, because someone chose a bundle of flowers, that you tied together with your own hand, to honor two beautiful souls, and fill a corner of this earth with merely a whisper of the the beauty, a 100th of whatthey would have, where a very very sad thing happened.

To the Ross family, if you see this, it's my honor to help you celebrate your girls... this is on That Gal's...
