Lots of things to celebrate today! 🥳

Miss Deleche (one of our creamery cows) was classified today and scored 85 or “very good” at just 2 years old. This score is a representation of the many desirable traits she possesses! **More on this another time!

We also made Batch #30 of cheese curds today! I still consider myself an amateur cheese-maker, but I like to think I’m improving with each batch. Before, making cheese was something that created a lot of anxiety, but I’ve learned to accept that each batch is a little bit different and that’s what makes our cheese curds unique! (It’s also how you know it was made by humans, and not machines. 😉)

About yesterday…

I am still in absolute awe of how incredible the day was. From the turnout, to the weather, to the help I didn’t even ask for but showed up anyways (it took 16+ of us to pull this event off, and that’s not including the ones helping behind the scenes). 🥲🌤️

I came up with the idea for Floats on the Farm 2.5 weeks ago and was shocked when everyone agreed to go along with my plan. Since then, myself and my team have put in a lot of early mornings and late nights making this event happen. Without them, none of this would have been possible! 🫶🏻

We served just over 350 floats and had over 400 in attendance!🥤

For those that came, I appreciate you taking the time to see exactly where your food comes from and the dedication it takes to make it onto your table. Words can’t describe just how special it was having so many of you experience life on the farm, even if just for a few hours. ❤️

We have so many ideas for future events, but would love your feedback about yesterday. Feel free to comment or message us! 💭

The farm is getting ready for company! 🐄🍦

This Sunday, we’re opening our doors (and gates 😁) and inviting you to see a little more of where Hightail begins. Come enjoy a root beer or orange float, visit the cows, tour the creamery, and shop our farm store!

Floats on the Farm
📅 Sunday, September 6
⏰ 2:00–4:00 PM

Tours will leave start every 30 minutes beginning at 2:00 pm, with the final tour starting at 3:30 pm.

A quick farm-friendly reminder: Closed-toed shoes are strongly encouraged for anyone joining a tour. We’ll provide protective bo**ie coverings before entering designated areas! 👢🐄

With nearly 400 people interested, we’re expecting a wonderfully busy afternoon! Our crew will direct you where to park when you arrive, and the rest of us will be ready with plenty of floats. 😊

We can’t wait to share the farm with you! 💕

Update: Curds, hot off the press, are officially ready!!
With our Floats on the Farm - Hightail Farm Store Grand Opening quickly approaching, our new self-checkout system is officially ready for some real-world testing!

We’ve got fresh cheese curds today (will update ETA as soon as I get a better idea this afternoon)… and something NEW to test out! 🧀💕

If you’re stopping by for curds today, we’d love for you to be one of our guinea pigs and try it out. 😆 Grab your curds, check yourself out on the iPad, and let us know how it goes!

As a VERY NON-TECH SAVVY Gen Zer (I know, crazy 😜), I designed a checkout that is as quick and painless as possible and hope you feel it is too. The reality of running a self-serve farm store is that I need an inventory management system that helps me keep the items you know and love consistently in stock. By using this new system, you’re helping me do that!
