Sorry to say we did not get a peach crop this year. Buds got hit with one cold night in April.
Hope for next year.

U-PICK PEACHES
Small but delicious organically grown peaches.
We have a limited number of peaches this year.
We will open to U-pick tomorrow Tues. the 6th from
9 am until noon ONLY. $2.00 lb. LIMITED to 20 #'s per person.
Smaller than usual but great for snacking or canning halves.
Cling-free yellow. It takes right under 20 # for 7 qt canner load.

Crop Status as of Aug 22
Peaches are not putting on any size despite plenty of water and care.
Still about the same size as in photos from Aug 3.
We are calling it a crop failure for this year. Sorry, please no calls.

Due to the cool spring we experienced here in Western MT, the peach crop is slower to ripen this year. Photos taken Aug. 3, 2022 compared with last photo taken Aug. 13, 2020.

We will keep this status report updated as soon as we know more so check back periodically.

Please don't call as we will not know anymore than that.

Best guess is that the crop is about three weeks late as is consistent with other garden and fruit crops in the area.

We lost a lot of our orchard due to early frost in fall of 2020, but the remaining trees have an abundance of peaches this year.

Plains Montana U-Pick Farm Delicious Organically Grown Peaches

Growing a crop like peaches in a climate like Montana’s is to say the least challenging.

Three years ago we had a fantastic crop, and then for the next two years the fruit buds froze. It was another close call this year and they were late but we did get some flowers that are turning into peaches. Dude is working the orchard and preparing it for the August harvest so keep watching the page for info on availability.
