The day started with a mama ewe giving birth, followed by hugs from my own kids while we snuggled baby lambs in the sun ☀️ tired and grateful sums it all up. Happy Mother’s Day to all those that care for babies, your own or others.

My 4-year-old literally asked me to bring him a rhubarb stalk for bedtime tonight, so that’s where we are these days: eating and dreaming about rhubarb. But I mean, it is a pretty delightful vegetable.

Check out for another place to order rhubarb from our farm.

Twin baby goats are only 4 days old but we don’t plan to keep them so if you’re looking for some sweet pet goats, let us know, and this ice age character can be yours !

Late last night we drove down our driveway home after a roadtrip to visit family and while unpacking the car in the main house, we looked outside to see that our barn had suddenly caught fire.

While we are indescribably devastated and grieving, we are also incredibly grateful to the fire department who arrived in record time and we continue to be in awe of the community of people that surround us in this little town and afar. By noon today, someone had delivered us food, I had help with the kids, we were both receiving a constant stream of texts and phone calls, and still others had shown up to help assess and prevent any further damage.

Even while the air smells like smoke and I tear up every time I look outside, Spencer and I are deliberately choosing joy and thanksgiving this evening.

All of this to say: this is our thank you letter to our community.

Hi local geographic area of humans! We need some help on the farm starting in January. This is a great opportunity for a student or anyone just looking for some hands-on experience. We’re thinking 15-20 hours a week at MOST with 20 hours peaking in the spring/summer during the busy season.

Perks:
- compensation with money or housing, depending on your needs
- your own garden plot
- fresh eggs and rhubarb (when in season)
- snuggle some pretty cool animals
- hands-on experience working on a small farm

Bonus: we’re kid-friendly and just friendly, overall! Reach out if interested!
