I’ve really enjoyed adding some of these sweet strawflowers to our arrangements. Strawflower comes in so many different bright colors. They close when it is dark and then open when the sun comes out. It’s so nice to see their happy faces 🌞

One of the main things that sparked my interest in flower farming was growing our own food. I’ve been intrigued about where my food comes from, how it is grown, harvested and processed for 10 years or so years now. I love experimenting with new plants and varieties. This year we attempted growing potatoes for the first time. I didn’t realize ordering 45lbs of seed potatoes would take up the vast majority of our large garden beds 😂 I also didn’t realize deer love the taste of potato leaves. So we will try again next year after we put up the door to our fenced in veggie garden. Regardless our kids have loved helping me dig for tiny little golden treasures.

Hi Otsego, Plainwell and Gobles! My family and I run a small flower farm based in Otsego called Florita Flower Farm. We cannot believe summer is almost over! As the new school year approaches I’ve been brainstorming a fun way to welcome back school staff members. I’m excited to offer Back to School Bud Vases with free delivery to Otsego, Plainwell and Gobles Public Schools. Each vase is $15 and includes a small card to write a short message and free delivery the first week of school.

Vases will be delivered to the main office of each school. If you have any questions please feel free to direct message me. Help us spread some happiness to our community school staff members!
