Florida strawberry season is coming soon! Here’s an inside look at some of the prep that goes into creating strawberry beds. 🍓🚜

During the summer months, cover crops like Sunn H**p fight wind erosion and nourish the soil in our strawberry fields.

Towards the end of summer, our farmers till the cover crop back into soil, replenishing it with nutrients.

The land is then leveled, and bed presses are used to create strawberry beds by picking up the soil, folding it into mounds, and using a pan to create the shape you see. A second pan then goes back over the beds to pack the soil even tighter!

Finally, the beds are covered in plastic to help with w**d control, moisture control, and keeping our plants clean.

We want to help clear up some confusion surrounding recent blueberry headlines.

Fresh blueberries are NOT involved in any current recalls.

The most recent frozen blueberry recall, announced July 3, involved specific lots of GreenWise branded frozen organic blueberries imported from Chile. The affected fruit was harvested between November 2025 and March 2026. Fresh blueberries from that timeframe have long since moved through the supply chain. Additionally, Wish Farms does not source berries from the grower involved in the recall, nor do we offer frozen blueberries.
