We will have a u-pick field open the following dates:

When: Saturday, March 21 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday, March 22 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Price: $1.00 per lb. We will provide 1 lb. Plastic clamshells for you to pick in. Please bring you own boxes/bags/etc. to take your clamshells home in.

Where: Spivey Farms, 6101 County Road 39 South, Plant City, FL 33567

Other Notes: We are a conventional farm. We will have some onions, beets and kale for sale as well. The earlier freeze hurt our vegetable crop badly, so we will be limited. No admission fee to u-pick and it is CASH only. Last car enters the property 30 minutes prior to closing.

We ask for your patience as we are limited on parking. We also still have semi trucks loading product at our place, so please use the utmost caution if visiting.

We continue to commercially pick some of our fields. Please stay in the designated u-pick field. Thanks to Little Paws Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc. as they will help with parking this weekend.

Fingers crossed the rain holds off. We have decided to open our u-pick field tomorrow (Sunday 3/15). If rain arrives early, we may need to close it down, but want to give as many people the opportunity to get some berries before the rain.

When: Sunday, March 15 from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm.

More dates may follow depending on the quality of the field. We will need to shut down after Sunday for at least a few days to let the rain come through and see if we can clean the field up for another chance to open.

Price: $1.00 per lb. We will provide 1 lb. Plastic clamshells for you to pick in. Please bring you own boxes/bags/etc. to take your clamshells home in.

We are very grateful to all that have come out to visit us so far. We never know what to expect, but the massive crowds have been a welcome sight for us after a tough season.

Commercial season is slowly winding down, perhaps a u-pick update next week. We will keep you in the loop here.

In the meantime, if you get a chance to visit the Strawberry Festival this week, please stop by and see our friends at the East Hillsborough Historical Society Strawberry Shortcake booth. We are proud to provide berries for them to make their delicious shortcake.

See you at the farm this Saturday!

Hope you all are doing well. As we slowly try to rebound from the freeze at the beginning of the month, we’re offering some pre-picked strawberries this Saturday, February 14 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the farm.

Fresh picked half flats of berries will be available for $10.00.

We will also pull some of our strawberrry onions to sell at $1.00 an onion.

Quantities will be limited, but if you are in the Plant City area Saturday afternoon, we’d love to see you.

If that isn’t enough, our friends at Little Paws Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc. will have their berry trailer out at the farm selling chocolate dipped strawberries as well. We will share their post about the event and hope you give them a look for a last minute Valentine’s Day gift idea.

Farm address is below and thank you for your continued support.

Hope you are well and we wish everybody a wonderful holiday season. If you are in the Plant City area and looking to get some sweet strawberries, please consider the fundraiser below. We are providing berries for a local non-profit to help their animal rescue. Information to pre-order is in the flyer and dipped berries wil be made this Friday (12/19) and next Tuesday (12/23). A perfect choice for a holiday party or just to give to a loved one and it goes to a worthy cause!

A friendly reminder that we are in our commercial season and not open to the public currently. IF we do a u-pick for strawberries, it will be after our commercial season is finished. That is usually in March. If that changes, we will provide updates.

Can we ask a favor? We are so close to getting to the next “monetized” level here. We are offering a free baby goat feeding for two or a one hour personalized tour of the Rescue for two, your choice, for 2 lucky people- 1 who likes and follows the main page and and 1 entry if you join the Little Paws Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc group) I will use one of those “random number generators” next Friday to pick a number and then I will go to that number member on the page and that number on the group and that will be our 2 winners! Please like and then share on your page and if you or a friend gets picked that is not local they can transfer to another friend who is local(what an amazing experience gift)! PLEASE and THANK YOU. This is a very easy, free, and passive way for us to generate some income to help us take care of those who depend on us! (to be honest with you I’m not even 100% sure how this “monetization” even works, but I do know we need more likes and followers to get more $. Lol.)
If you are already a member of both, you already have 2 entries, but please share on your personal pages and get your friends to join in. They might just transfer their lucky winning to you.! Plus- it’s just a nice thing to do for us 😉
(Reminder- we are located in Plant City, Florida)
