I just want to throw it out there. Unless you are buying your corn from a farmer by the bushel you aren't getting it for "hundreds" less then I offer my ton prices, and if your co-op isn't showing you a weight on your ton of whatever you ordered. You 90% of the time are not getting the weight you wanted.

We weigh it before it's given to you and verify it with a photo. We will weigh it again in front of you if you don't believe the picture you get. We are not going to sell you less then you buy. We will also tell you what we can and can't get into 1 sack

We upcharge .03/lb to repay for traveling and gas and to make the business more efficient.

Our employees make 9$ per 350lbs.

The company cut the upcharge in half to make sure we could save you money without hurting our employees pocket.

We can't be anymore transparent we just want everyone to get through these tough times as best as possible and see as many of our farmers and hunters be able to keep doing what they do best.

So as a lot of you know I've been buying, grinding, distributing, and producing feed for livestock. Well we just started fermenting and we need to know what the market looks like. I have roughly 400lbs of fermented feed I'm selling in sample amounts. 5$ for a 5 gallon bucket full. (Comes out to 45-50lbs) or 1 gallon (5lbs) for 1$.

But why only samples? I'm finding that some animals run to it and devour it within seconds while others probably would have to starve before eating it...

But what's the advantage?...fermented feed feeds at half the poundage you typically feed (i.e. 50lbs- now 25lbs) and is filled with probiotics and healthy bacteria to clean out the rumen and produce better gut health.

Ok wait, what's the downside?...fermented feed has to be fed within 4 days of fermentation or left under fermentation for a week in a shady place.

So how can I buy alot without making several trips? You have to have a root cellar or a place that stays between 35 and 50 degrees at all times....or store it under your house in the shade. It likes it there with a lid on top.

Once this 400lbs is gone I can make a good choice about the price point and whether to keep it a small thing or start making it daily!!!

It was a nice, but hot, Saturday morning spent at the Vance Trading Post! It was great to see more vendors and to see more traffic come through! I believe the next one will be July 1st!! So spread the word, we plan to have some freshly picked blueberries and blackberries to add to our goodies!
