started by peeling homegrown squash and zucchini, chopped them up, threw it in the blender, then saved some for this week and froze the rest for later on!

1/2 cup of sugar
1 tbs lemon juice
add boiling water & can

in about 6 weeks these will be ready to drink 😍

reasons to harvest your own meat 🥩:

first let’s appreciate my special helper hondo 🐾🥹

- you know what’s in it (mostly 🙂)
- hunting is fun! 🦌
- you save so much money 💸
- this one deer will feed me and my husband for a long time! we got about 50lbs 🍽️
- we’re now stocked up on ground meat, fajita meat, roast, and dog food 🌮🐶
- and a tip, you can soak your venison in water (replacing it a couple times a day before you prep it for the freezer) to draw out that gamey taste. this helps it taste more like beef and with extra seasonings you’d never know 🐄😊

on todays menu we have… homemade BUTTER 🧈💛

although i don’t have a milk cow 😢 ( yet 😏 ) this was still possible with store bought heavy whipping cream!

i put it in my mixer for about 20 minutes, or until the butter and buttermilk started to separate. then i put my butter in an ice bath until it hardened. afterwards, i added some salt and rosemary 🍃🧂

store in the fridge or freezer to save for later 🧊
