Special thank you to my husband who, on his rare day off, encouraged me to go back home and take a nap. I didn’t sleep well at all. Not only did he come in extra early to make a fresh batch of buttermilk biscuits, he and Cora held down the fort and now he’s closing up solo.

Dolly has always been in my life, through her music, her personality, her love of sparkly things and her love of helping others.
Dolly’s free book program is what inspired my mom to create this free library for our young visitors to take a book home with them if they found something they loved.
Making a Dolly cake for one of her biggest fans, my friend Michael, was such a joy.

To say I am heartbroken is an understatement. I can’t find the words right now to fully express what she meant to me and so many others. But I know the world is grieving the loss of such a beloved woman.
